I hope we both make it through 2!

Already this morning Abi has "given my cell phone a bath", thrown 2 very passionate temper-tantrums, dumped a full glass of water on my bed, and went potty on the bathroom floor (we're starting to potty train)! I have blow dried my cell phone, put Abi in "time-out" twice, soaked up as much water out of my mattress as I could, mopped the bathroom floor for the second time this week, and screamed into my pillow! I really don't remember Gracie being this hard. I hope it doesn't get worse with each child, because Durke and I want a few more and I don't know if it really could get any worse!

5 Years...

Durke and my anniversary was last Friday on 8-8-08. We celebrated in Vail, Colorado and had a great time. As I look back over the last five years it has been pretty amazing. Just like everyone we have had our ups and our downs but we are so much better for all of them. We have grown so much through the hard times like losing Durke's brother, starting a new career, and all the stresses of having our own business; but I am so thankful for those times. We have also had two beautiful little girls that make us so happy, and lots of laughs and great memories. I have enjoyed watching Durke this past year as he has done so well in his bike races. He is so strong and motivated, I hope that some of his talents can rub off on me. He is such an amazing man and I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments in work, sports, and being a dad and husband! He is such a great guy, and I am so blessed to have him in my life. Thanks babe, I love you.

We finally got out girls pictures taken, it's one of those things I have had on my mind to do forever, but I always procrastinate. The girl that takes them for me was moving, so I had to get them done and I was sooo happy with them.

Our summer fun...

We have had a fun and busy summer so far. We have been camping, to all of Durke's mountain bike races, stayed at my families for a week to help my dad after he had back surgery, played with friends in the water, to the splash park by my parents house, BBQ's, to the lake, and tons more. We hope you are all having a fun summer too.

Lost turtles and too much water!

We've had what I'll call a "different week". For the most part it has been pretty normal, except for a few minor glitches. On Wednesday, Gracie and Abi were given a little box turtle. They were soooo excited. This is the first time Dad has given in and said they could have a pet. We made it a cute little home outside with sand, water, and a large supply of lettuce. What more could a turtle ask for really? We made sure he was secure and couldn't escape before we went to bed, but apparently he could. Yesterday morning he was gone! We searched all day for him in every bush, in the river, at the neighbors, but according to Gracie he is "no-where to be found". We are quite sad, so if you live near us and happen to find a lost turtle, please let us know:)

The second crazy thing that happend is our basement flooded. A sprinkler valve that is right outside a window well, broke and started filling the basement with water. Luckily we found it pretty quickly, but it still had put a lot of water in one of the bedrooms downstairs. We spent all of Wednesday night cleaning that up.
