Goal....BLOG!

So it has been one of my goals for 2010 to keep our family blog up-to-date, and so far I have failed miserably. But I am going to try again! I thought I would start with a little family update.

We have been really busy lately, the only problem is I can't remember exactly what we've been doing. We had a quick trip to St. George with my family and had a really great time. We haven't ever been on a trip with all of my fam and it was nice. We ate well, swam a lot, and enjoyed the warm weather. The only problem was we didn't get to shop much. Durke probably didn't mind.

Durke: Durke's life basically consists of selling insurance and riding his bike. Well he is a very good dad and an awesome husband too. He had his first bike race the first of March. He competed in the Single Speed class and did really well. I love watching him race. He is also busy in his church calling as the Teacher's Quorum advisor. He really loves his calling and has a good time with the boys. I think they are pretty lucky to have him as their leader, he does some pretty fun stuff with them.

Me: I have been busy with kids and work, taxes, and the Relief Society birthday party. I have also enjoyed planning our garden for this year. We are going to do a square-foot garden and I am way excited. Durke helped me build the boxes last Saturday, and the girls and I have started our tomatoes and peppers. I hope it turns out and we can reap a great harvest. I also joined a card exchange group with my cousin and have had fun making cards. I have also been exercising like crazy and have actually been doing pretty good. I am on my way to meeting my goals. One of the reasons I haven't been updating my blog so much is because, like everyone else I know, I am addicted to Facebook. I swore I wouldn't get hooked, but I am. Mostly though I have just been doing mom stuff, which is good.

Gracie: Gracie is growing up so fast. She is so fun! She competed in the St. George race in the 9 and under age group and took 5th place among the girls. Durke was so proud. She was so cute and I had to laugh how competitive she is. She is way excited to do more bike races. She is also LOVING preschool with Lori Schaeffer. We had her Kindergarten registration and assessment. I can't believe my little girl is going to be a kindergartner. She is very excited though and I think she will have fun.

Abigail: Abi is a little fireball and she keeps us all on our toes. We cut her hair short in January and she looks so darn cute. She is loving ballet with her Aunt Brooke and is making lots of new friends. She loves to follow Gracie around and do whatever she is doing. She is my challenge in life, but I love her to pieces.

Louk: This little guy is the funnest kid ever. We all just want to squeeze him. He has been so happy from the day he was born. He is always smiling and he has a way of making people around him happy. He is almost 9 months old which is totally crazy. He's got a ton of curly hair, which is funny because I always knew it would be my boy who got my curls. He is starting to stand up on furniture and he has this funny way of crawling that we call his "wounded soldier crawl". I should try to get a video of it, because it's pretty funny. One of my favorite thing he does though is he gives the BEST kisses ever. There is nothing like baby kisses. He is an eater and is making us bankrupt from having to by so much baby food, but he is still a skinny little guy. Everyone who sees him says he looks like a little man and it's true. We all love our little "Loukey"!

We have been doing really well. Life is good.
